Last year the town of Brookline, MA invited artists to present the committee with mural ideas. This spring I will be painting this image in the town where I grew up.

Why an Enchanted Forest Dragon?

Because it'll be beautiful. The mural will accentuate the lush trees and flowers during the warm months. When the cold strips the town gray, the artwork will provide the urban area with vibrant color.

Because it's about wild and perfectly balanced nature. We know that our future requires us to come together and restore our frayed relationship with the planet. Art has the power to emotionally fortify this important connection.

Because it's about imagination. The attention economy depends upon us constantly watching, clicking, and scrolling. I want to remind people that our imagination create our reality. Dragons are universal symbols and accessible embodiment of imagination. We could all use more magic in our lives.
Bringing nature, imagination, and art together is my sincere effort to provide the community with magic and inspiration for years to come.
Continue below to see my sketches and more mockups for what could be an extended series of murals around the area.

(As real as this looks, it's a mock up I made in Photoshop for the presentation)

Note: due to changes in paint, surfaces, and scale, differences from mockups to final mural artwork are to be expected.
